Mello Tymes emerges from the shared vision of three college friends, each molded by their distinct encounters with the War on Drugs in their communities. As a cannabis brand, we proudly bear the labels of Returning Citizen, Minority, and Woman-owned, deeply ingrained in values of equity, inclusion, and community empowerment. Our journey begins in the Bronx, where police raids, poverty, and systemic injustices persist—a battleground for black and brown communities targeted by federal and state law enforcement. Drawing from our firsthand experiences in these neighborhoods, Mello Tymes is driven by a deliberate mission to enlighten and uplift the community, giving voice to the powerless and disenfranchised. Beyond mere commerce, our aim is to create a sanctuary for returning citizens and incarcerated residents in the Bronx and White Plains, New York, in partnership with fellow advocates of social equity.
