MELT-Ing products combines the thermal buffering equivalent of thick concrete walls in a thin plates engineered specifically for construction for increased comfort, flexibility and customer acceptance. We support sustainable trends for a new generation of climate resilient lightweight buildings with low carbon and material footprint. The products are also an important contribution to minimize the need of valuable and limited ressouces like wood for static purposes instead of expensive "mass timber", so they are a perfect fit for builders of lighter containers, modular homes, and timberframes with high demand for thermal mass and lower customer acceptance due to overheating in summer. Customer acceptance may be a "softer" factor, but due to so called grey energy (Co2 during construction) the nudging of customers decision form mass concrete buildingsto eg. prefabricated timber constructions with MELT Plates can reduce the lifetime emissions by up to 50%. The high thermal buffering capacity is realized by utilizing phase change material that can store large amounts of thermal energy in the human "comfort window". The self-developed efficient materials and production process allows encapsulation in stable thin (eg. 12mm) plates that can be scaled in production up to a few square meters.
