Memoria Decolonial

Memoria Decolonial (Decolonial Memory) is a collective of artists, researchers, and educators based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, dedicated to critically exploring the legacies of colonialism through a decolonial and antiracist lens. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we develop educational and cultural projects for the general public using participatory methodologies, experiential learning, and tools from both public and digital humanities. We seek to interrogate Puerto Rico’s cultural patrimony and promote inclusive interpretations of history and identity. Our goal is to democratize knowledge and accompany communities in developing their own pedagogical and cultural projects—whether through research collaboration, logistical planning, digital projects, or guided walking workshops known as (de)tours.
