Around the world Memphis Means Music. The Memphis Music Foundation is a not for profit committed to moving Memphis’s great music legacy into the 21st century and beyond. The Foundation stands to support and retain Memphis's musical talent, help them increase their revenue and, in turn contribute to the city’s economic future. The Foundation’s anchor programs, The Memphis Music Resource Center is the only free, educational facility in the world devoted to helping artists and industry have thriving, profitable businesses in music. The Foundation staff is experienced in business best practices, artist management and development, publicity, and promotions. Volunteers extend this network to include professionals from diverse fields of entertainment. Additional programs at the Music Foundation are designed to offer hands- on experience to musicians and the music industry, provide career advancing opportunities, and access to the successful entrepreneurs in business and music.
