Thank you for being part of our story. For posterity. MERGE Chemistry launched in February 2022 as a spinout division of Inorganic Ventures. We are a privately held, US-based chemical manufacturer harnessing 35+ years of knowledge and high-quality chemistry to deliver radically new solutions to advance the next generation of Energy Storage technology. Our team is built off two key pillars to support the battery community: Additives and Services. The MERGE Additives team designs and manufactures additives for aqueous battery electrolytes. These additives, based on complex chelators, metals, and inorganic salts, inhibit hydrogen evolution, decrease corrosion, and control plating dynamics while minimizing dendrite growth. Each additive package is custom tailored for compatibility with our customers’ proprietary electrolyte chemistry, from acidic to alkaline. Our manufacturing capability can readily scale from R&D to pilot-scale production. The MERGE Services team offers trace metals impurity testing and analysis to both startups and established battery manufacturers. We help to evaluate the purity of starting materials, identify impurities in recycled components, and perform post-cycle degradation analysis of battery chemical compositions.
