Meridian Cambridge is an independent, non-profit research organisation that accelerates work on AI safety, biosecurity and other frontier-risk questions. What we do • Programmes & fellowships – cohort-based research sprints, reading groups and residencies that turn promising ideas into publishable papers, policy memos or venture prototypes. • Targeted funding – micro-grants (£500–£10 k) and fiscal sponsorship so early-stage projects can move before traditional funders say yes. • Advisory & talent pathways – one-to-one mentoring, career placement and introductions to partner labs, investors and policymakers. • Events & knowledge exchange – seminars, workshops and public talks that link Cambridge researchers with the wider global risk-reduction community. • Workspace – a 30-desk facility available to programme participants and resident researchers.
