Merkas was established to meet the nonwoven needs of various sectors such as medical and filter, especially the hygiene sector. It with its brand “hygenius”, produces high loft nonwovens mainly for the needs of disposable and hygiene markets. The company uses multi-layer air-through bonding technology to manufacture high loft nonwovens used as acquisition distribution layer (ADL), top sheet, soft back sheet facing in the production of baby diapers, sanitary napkins and adult incontinence products. With its licenced R&D department, Merkas aims to develop new projects and ideas in cooperation with its customers and suppliers for long term collaboration.
