Mes-Etra Consortium

The MES-ETRA Consortium is a collective of partner companies which includes Mark E Shafer, LLC, Energy Technology Risk Advisors, Nuka Research and Planning Group, Litigation Abstract, and HRA Gray & Pape. The organization was created in hopes of assisting the US Department of Commerce - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) with the Damage Assessment Remediation and Restoration Program (DARRP) relating to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill that occurred between April 20th to September 19th, 2010. It is the Consortium's intent to support the NOAA’s DARRP capability to: • evaluate the effects of the release of oil into the environment; • provide a natural resource damage assessment; • evaluate the environmental damage and provide economic assessment services; • determine lost services; and to • assist the Government in pursuing a claim against British Petroleum (BP) and other responsible parties.
