Beginning in 1967, our namesake Master Luigi began bringing fashion and elegance to his hometown of Lecce, Apulia. An admirer of natural forms, he wished to recreate the beauty of the world around him in the way he handcrafted clothes. Inspired by its position between two seas, its ancient ruins, and its limestone swept cityscape, Mesciu Gigi creates a style that emanates from an appreciation for both the natural world and the human hand culminating in the use of rich colors and bold designs. In other words, The Leccese Way: a history, a culture, an outlook on life that is rooted in its geographic location and its way of looking at philosophical forms and manipulating those into clothes.
