Into the Metaverse is a 90-minute, anime, action-adventure film that tells the story of Rikka and Kakashi’s journey into VRChat. The two embark on a quest through the Metaverse in search of the forgotten Ugandan Knuckles meme. Metacosm Studios is an indie, not-for-profit, virtual film studio started by a group of friends in VRChat. Directed by Constantine254, Into the Metaverse is Metacosm Studio’s second production and first full-length film. Into the Metaverse was filmed entirely in VR thanks to a community of VRChat fans and volunteers. Into the Metaverse is a free, community-driven fan film and is not affiliated with VRChat, Inc. Into the Metaverse premieres in Summer 2022 on the Metacosm Studios YouTube channel and will be available with English, Japanese, Spanish, German, and Russian captions.
