Metro Power Group

Metro Power Group is a leading player in harnessing the potential of clean energy in Pakistan. They began their journey in the power generation sector with a successful 50 MW Wind Power project in Jhimpir, Sindh, launched in September 2016. Building on this achievement, they successfully launched a second wind power project, Metro Wind Power Limited (MWPL), with a capacity of 60 MW in April 2022. Through a joint venture with British International Investment (BII), Metro Power Group aims to expand their total capacity to 500 MW in the future, with various projects currently under development. Metro Power Company Limited: Incorporated in 2006, Metro Power Company Limited operates as a licensed Power Generation Company under the Companies Ordinance of 1984. The company generates electricity through wind power and supplies it to the National Grid. Currently, they supply 50 MW of electricity to CPPA in compliance with the 2006 Renewable Policy. Metro Wind Power Limited: Established in 2015 under the Companies Ordinance of 1984, Metro Wind Power Limited operates under the 2006 Renewable Policy. The company's wind power plant has a capacity of 60 MW, and the electricity generated is supplied to the National Grid through energy purchase agreements with the CPPA. Metro Wind Power Limited is the first plant in the 500 MW joint venture agreement between Metro Power Group and British International Investment (BII).
