MGINNE is a Social Enterprise. We develop Information and Communication Technology based solutions that link businesses to people. We catalyse Grassroots Entrepreneurship, support Sustainable Trading and generate valuable Business Insights about developing and rural markets, thus making a transformative impact on environment, life and livelihood while assuring a profit-making business for our investors and stakeholders. To achieve this goal, we have 3 focussed business functions as 3 pillars of our organisation; Information Access, Trade for Development and Business Informatics. In Information access; we aim to establish a digital pathway of information exchange that is simple to use and affordable in developing markets. Information asymmetry is one of the key challenges in transforming developing and rural markets. At MGINNE, we aim to solve this through innovative use of ICT by creating specialised information solutions and services designed for such markets, under our brand GINNE Vox™. Businesses as well as development organisations can use our solutions to reach out effectively to “Last Mile” for interacting or transacting with them. Currently we are focussed in India, and have been able to achieve total reach of over 1.7 million people across 20 states. In Trade for Development, we promote “sensible consumerism” by connecting consumers to producers of goods and services that have a positive impact on community livelihood or conservation of ecology. Currently we are working with the indigenous crafts and craftsmen and women of India, many of which are protected by Geographical Indication, to showcase their products and helping consumers to procure directly from them through our ecommerce platform Made in Bharat. Our business informatics product is currently under development, where we would provide predictive market intelligence to micro and small businesses.
