We make this possible by helping local governments capitalize on the benefits of advanced data and visualization systems to make informed decisions. MGP was founded in 1998 as a geographic information system (GIS) company. Geography is the one thing that all local government departments share, and a well-designed comprehensive GIS can help integrate data and breakdown business silos. At the core of our success are our team members. We hire individuals who measure their success by the impact they create. We are not a bottom-line driven company, and we believe we can have the biggest impact by serving the communities that touch the lives of so many, and to do it in an affordable and impactful way that helps build communities. We accomplish this by partnering with local government and sharing (not reselling) everything we create. Local government is a complex organization consisting of 8-15 different business units (departments) that do different things, with different technology. MGP thrives in serving at the intersection of the departments to bring processes and information together. MGP helps solve the challenge local governments face in staffing information system roles. Without the right people, data systems may not realize their full benefit. Our expertise has grown out of the needs of local government and has expanded to include enterprise solutions, end-user products, and consulting and delivery services and processes. Our communities connect us, and by being connected people can find happiness, fulfillment, and abundance in their lives.
