On average, each student expends approximately $30 on transportation costs while dedicating three full days to scouring the city for an available hostel. Meanwhile, the hostels themselves rely on antiquated bookkeeping methods to record and monitor student payments on a semester-to-semester basis. Hostel administrators yearn for a more streamlined and efficient means of presenting their performance data to their superiors, emancipating them from the clutches of tedious spreadsheets. At Miah, our mission is to revolutionize hostel management operations. We achieve this by digitalizing hostel procedures, allowing hostel administrators to oversee their daily tasks through a simplified and intuitive dashboard. Simultaneously, we aim to enhance the student experience by providing a user-friendly platform that empowers them to effortlessly discover and reserve accommodations from anywhere, at any time. The scope of this problem is considerable, impacting both students' pursuit of affordable accommodations and hostel operators' quest for efficiency and modernization. By addressing these challenges, Miah strives to bring about a significant transformation in the realm of student housing.
