Michezo

Michezo is a fashion jewelry brand that was born to satisfy a growing need for thoughtful - comfortable, ethical and customizable - jewelry in the market. The brand was initially set up in India and introduced a unique style of handmade jewelry, created using polymer clay, which was lightweight and made-to-order. Michezo worked closely with some of the top fashion labels in India for about 2 years before moving operations to California. The move was made after observing a bigger opportunity for handcrafted fashion accessories in America. Over the last couple of years, Michezo has redesigned its product range to suit the American market. The brand follows a multi-channel sales strategy with an online store, a distribution channel of boutiques and retailers and round the year exhibitions across the West Coast. Michezo jewelry, designed and conceptualized in California, is manufactured in India through a small-scale production unit. This unit is set up in Lucknow in North India and provides employment to a group of underprivileged women around the area. It is remotely managed from the US and the women undergo periodic virtual training to stay updated with the latest design ideas and manufacturing processes. Michezo believes in being thoughtful towards both, the customer and the community, and aims to contribute to sustainable fashion in the long run.
