Michigan Quantitative Computing

MTI was formed to be an outlet for students with a passion for mathematics and computer science to practice their skills in real-world contexts. Members have the opportunity to form and join a different project team every semester. Covering topics from statistical arbitrage and HFT to neural networks and public database word processing, these teams can explore infinite possible methods to processing and understanding economic data. In order to encourage members to take risks and explore uncharted topics, we backtest all algorithms over years of data, instead of holding an active fund. This allows us to uphold a comfortable, stress-free environment within our community.
