Microaid International

I created MicroAid in 2008 to rebuild houses for survivors of disasters after the world's attention has moved on. MicroAid occupies an essential niche in the “response-relief-recovery” cycle following a disaster because we are focused on long-term recovery. We give no-strings-attached hands-on assistance — rebuilding homes and replacing tools of livelihood — to help people return to self-sufficiency. We are unique because we step in after the the emergency response and relief operations of other aid organizations has begun to wind down. And MicroAid stays in the field until the project is complete.
