Middleton Star Fire Districts

Thank you for visiting the Middleton/Star Fire District’s Linkedin. The members of our Districts recognize our responsibility to help ensure the safety of the people in our communities. We consider public service a privilege and value the trust we are given by the people we serve. We are dedicated to delivering our services through professionalism and excellence. Since the 1950s, our Districts have worked hard to adapt and evolve to meet the challenges of providing a wide spectrum of emergency services. I believe our greatest asset is our team of dedicated employees who consistently go the extra mile in delivering these vital services. Our goal is to carry out our mission and provide a safer place for our community to live and work. Organizationally we are faced with an enormous task. The combined Districts response areas cover approximately 165 square miles serving a population of just over with 11 on-duty Firefighter/EMT personnel responding from three stations 24 hours a day. During 2021, we received approximately 2600 calls for emergency services, in addition we also respond to non-emergent community service calls daily. As Fire Districts we must do more than simply respond when called, we must do all we can to prevent fires and be prepared in advance for any type of emergency. Our Fire Districts continue to move forward and strive to utilize innovative methods to meet our operational goals and financial needs. Over the past several years the Districts have built partnerships with neighboring departments to overcome training needs and standardize operational practices. However, we continue to face ongoing challenges and utilize a team approach as we work through them. We feel it is our responsibility to make these Districts as safe as possible through our commitment to Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention and Readiness Emergency Planning.
