Midlaj Group’s origins trace back to 1986 with Rahaman Nirman Sewa handling government contracts and delivering public infrastructure projects under the leadership of Mr. Rahaman Miya. Originally from Pokhara, he began his business journey from Humla, one of the most remote and challenging regions of the country. With limited resources but strong determination, he built a solid foundation that would eventually grow into a diversified business. In addition to executing government contracts, he became known for personally developing his own real estate plots in Nepalgunj, which helped establish the family’s strong presence in the property market. The group structure came later in 2018 when his son Rihan Miya formally restructured the family’s decades-old ventures into a unified entity called Midlaj Group. At the age of seventeen, he brought in structure, modern leadership and a clear vision for expansion. He integrated the existing businesses and officially registered Midlaj Properties Private Limited as the real estate arm of the group, continuing the legacy built by his father. Under his leadership, the group also entered manufacturing and international trade. Midlaj Industries Private Limited, focused on plywood production, became Nepal’s first company in this category to receive US-based IAF-approved UAF ISO 9001:2015 certification, reflecting a strong commitment to global standards. Midlaj Trading Private Limited was established as the official importer of Amul Dairy India in Nepal, enhancing the group’s presence in international commerce. Despite early challenges, the successful export of plywood to India stands as a testament to Midlaj Group’s resilience, strategic growth and long-term vision. Today, the group continues to grow with a strong foundation of trust, quality and meaningful contribution to both community development and national progress.
