Midland Energy America LLC was established as a special purpose investment company in Nevada in May 2019 with the right of direct cornerstone investment into affiliated company, Midland Energy Pty Ltd, an Australian based coal exploration and mining company since 2011. Midland Energy proposes to develop an initial 1.1 million tonne per year coal mine within held tenements in the Australian island state of Tasmania. This will be achieved by harnessing American technology through our ongoing relationship with Caterpillar Australia while utilizing the low environmental impact, high-wall mining method pioneered in the coalfields of the USA. There is currently very high demand for Australian coal throughout Asia and India, which is forecast to grow over the coming decades. Coal is currently Australia’s most valuable export (15% of Australian GDP for 2018) due to the quality produced and our proximity to Asian and Indian Markets. Our proposed coal product is estimated to rank similar to Newcastle 5500 kcal/kg (API 5 Benchmark), Midland Energy America has recently launched a Regulation D capital raising to facilitate the investment in the Australian affiliate.
