People with epilepsy know their disorder isn’t just physical — the effects are mental and emotional as well. Far too often, we’re counted out of activities that many people take for granted, and feelings of anxiety or isolation can take their toll. At the Midwest YouCan Foundation, we combat these challenges through empowerment — celebrating all the amazing things we can do. Through recreation, community building and a culture of inclusion, we’re helping people with epilepsy strengthen their self-confidence, explore their independence, develop meaningful relationships and enjoy a higher quality of life.
