MiFi™ (Microbe Finder) is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that utilizes pathogen-specific eProbes to make fast pathogen diagnoses in a single next generation sequence (NGS) sample. Pathogen eProbes are developed using proprietary algorithms and validation tools for each pathogen that affects a particular host species and is desired to be detected. A library of pathogen eProbes can be developed for a particular host species that may range from a few pathogens that typically affect a plant or animal species, to 20 or more pathogens. A user uploads a host species tissue sample’s NGS data file to our website, selects which individual pathogen eProbes or eProbe libraries need to be detected, and within hours, MiFi informs the user which pathogens are present in their tissue sample with a confidence interval.
