Milan Internet Exchange

Founded in and located in Milan’s Caldera campus, MIX is the largest Italian Internet Exchange Point and one of Europe’s top IXPs, handling daily traffic peaks of approximately 3 Tbps. MIX stands out as one of the few European IXPs with its own data centers, offering high-quality, scalable, and robust interconnection services to over 420 national and international networks (AS). As the first Italian IXP to achieve ISO27001:2013 certification, MIX ensures the highest standards in infrastructure and IT process security. It also holds the OIX-1 certification from Open-IX, further affirming its excellence in security and reliability. MIX is a founding member of Open Hub Med, Italy’s first neutral hub connecting Mediterranean networks to Northern Europe.
