Milk Chai

Traditionally, across all parts of Afghanistan, you would be hard pressed to find any native that doesn’t welcome their guests with a cup of tea as soon as they step through their doors. Milk Chai, also known as “sheer chai” is one of many staple tea beverages of Afghanistan. The dessert drink has served as a large part of Afghan hospitality. Many associate the drink with celebratory events, family and friend gatherings and or a simple delicacy treat. Milk Chai is the center of any type of social gathering and the heart of enjoying time with friends and family.
