Mind And Bodee

All disease starts in the gut’. When I first read this quote from Hippocrates it resonated with me. For quite a long time I had made the link between food and feeling good. We all want to feel good but most of us don’t make the connection between our mind, stomach, and the feel-good factor. Another quote I love from Hippocrates is ‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’. I have known since childhood that some foods are highly beneficial. Whenever I was ill my mum made me a magic chicken soup with garlic, onions and turmeric which left me feeling much better within hours of eating it. It was not until I became a mother myself, and I started using home remedies on my own children that I discovered that I could keep common colds and ailments at bay through improving our diet. I decided to investigate the health benefits of food. Having been on a mission to improve my mind health for several years, I discovered that certain foods cleared ‘brain fog’ and left me feeling more positive. This pathway naturally led me to developing an interest in gut health. I learnt first-hand how healing a leaky gut and having healthy microbiome in your gut, this can lead to a significant improvement in your overall wellbeing. Thus Mind and Bodee came into being. My passion for finding a connection between the mind, body and food soon became an obsession!
