MindFire Productions was founded when two longtime TV news producers and documentary filmmakers—Michelle Génecé Patterson and Diana Frank—came together with a shared belief: powerful stories, told with integrity, authenticity and intention, can ignite understanding, empathy, and change. After years working at the highest levels of journalism and documentary storytelling, they created MindFire as a creative home for work that centers people, honors lived experience, and harnesses the power of storytelling for the greater good. Today, MindFire operates across two distinct but complementary lanes. Michelle Génecé Patterson | Impact Storytelling & Strategic Communications Michelle leads MindFire’s work with nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven organizations. An Emmy Award–winning storyteller and a founding Senior Producer of the campaign CNN Heroes, she brings nearly two decades of experience shaping one of the most recognized philanthropic storytelling franchises in the world. Michelle partners with organizations as a senior leader and strategic advisor—helping them diagnose where their storytelling is losing power and rebuild narratives that are clear, human, and urgent. Her work focuses on centering people over institutions, strengthening trust, and translating real impact into stories that inspire action. Diana Frank | Documentary Filmmaking Diana continues MindFire’s documentary filmmaking lane, developing and producing long-form nonfiction projects that explore culture, place, and the human condition. Diana's current project is a timely documentary set in and about Denmark, reflecting MindFire’s ongoing commitment to powerful storytelling with global perspective and depth. MindFire Productions exists to stop stories from being buried, softened, or reduced—and to help them do what they are meant to do: illuminate truth, build connection, and move people to act.
