We provide respectful, compassionate, structurally competent, culture-specific, trauma-informed online mental health care to Medicaid recipients that recognizes the dignity and assets within each person to improve their health and well being and that of their community. Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, culture-specific counseling and therapy. We diagnose different mental health conditions and provide a neutral ground to adults in-person or online. You can receive therapy wherever you feel comfortable and safe. What is Cultural Competency? Cultural Competency or Culture-Specificity is the trained ability to identify cross-cultural expressions of illness and health, and to thus counteract the marginalization of patients by race, ethnicity, social class, religion, sexual orientation, or other markers of difference. What is Structural Competency? Structural Competency is the trained ability to discern how a host of issues defined as symptoms, attitudes, or diseases (e.g, depression, trauma) also represent the downstream effects of a number of upstream decisions. These are decisions about such matters as health care and food delivery systems, zoning laws, urban and rural infrastructures, medicalization, or even about the very definitions of illness and health.
