I am Edward Niembro, CEO from Mindful Impacts. Having worked in the environmental & engineering industries for over 25 years, I held positions from a graduate to international team leader. I worked for consultancies, NGOs & corporations across Asia, Europe & North America. There was always pressure from clients & directors to deliver my projects with minimal delay. But there was added complication to solve community impacts & conflicts for each project. I discovered meditation in my 20s. I realised it was easy to be calm after a retreat but it was difficult to be calm when your project was in crisis OR when personal events impacted you simultaneously (eg death of parent or a divorce). SO COULD MINDFULNESS BE EFFECTIVE IN MY WORK & INDUSTRY? I tried many mindful practices from renowned teachers, self-help books & apps during 25 years of my practice. I made plenty of mistakes in how & when to apply them. But my failures needed to happen. It was not a wrong turn or the end of the path. It was the path! With clarity from neuroscience, NLP & environmental factors behind anxiety & limiting beliefs, with the right type of COACHING & MENTORING, staff will make meaningful inner change that will transmit into the company's culture & workplace.
