Mindkshetra

Mindkshetra comes from the combination of the words "mind" and the Sanksrit word "Kshetra", which means "place"; It is a place to create mind space. It is a creative arts mental health studio that aims to nurture the inner wellbeing of life stories using creativity. We offer creative art sessions, art therapy workshops, psychoeducational seminars to individuals, organisations and educational institutions. The practice promotes proactive mental wellness using creativity as a strategy and offers counselling and art therapy informed interventions to support lives who experienced adversities. Mindkshetra works on the philosophy that similar to how gyms promote physical fitness; mental wellness should be proactively nurtured. Our mental health studio works on bridging that gaps in two ways by teaching creativity combined with psychoeducation as a strategy to boost resilience and mental wellness proactively. It also works on supporting people who have experienced life adversities or mental health conditions through art therapy/counselling/ services. As a social enterprise, Mindkshetra, we aim to contribute towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 - Good Health and Wellbeing, SDG 5 Gender Equality, SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities. To fulfil this commitment, Mindkshetra has been working on various awareness campaigns and offering subsidised mental health services to lives that have experienced family violence. Rupa is the founder and the person behind this practice. She is a registered (Australian Counselling Association) Counsellor & registered (ANZACATA) Art therapist.
