Minds, Media, Machines 🧠🤖 is an interdisciplinary network of researchers at the University of Bremen and collaborators at national and international partner institutions. Together, they are forging new paths to advance our understanding of intelligence and cognition in autonomous agents and agent teams within mediatized worlds. The aim of is to propel research in high-profile areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) 🤖, robotics 🦾, machine learning (ML) 🧠, data science, social media, and mediatisation. This pursuit is underscored by a commitment to societal benefit and welfare, emphasizing usability, privacy, security, sustainability, and lawfulness, all while enhancing human life, from children’s education to elderly support 🧓. The insights gleaned within are channeled into pioneering new generations of social, computer-based, and cyber-physical systems. At the University of Bremen, collaborative research is centered on six interdisciplinary High-Profile Areas. These areas significantly bolster the university's research capabilities and integrate both internal and external research programs on campus. Functioning in a matrix structure, the High-Profile Areas intersect with the scientific disciplines of international departments.
