Minds Shine Bright is an arts business based in Melbourne Australia that publishes anthologies and promotes writing, film-making and other creative projects. Minds Shine Bright publishes two anthology series Confidence - which explores contemporary creative writing on the confidence theme longitudinally and Seasons which explores elements of the external environment. Both series feature winning and commended writers from the Minds Shine Bright creative writing competition and are cursted to tell a story. The Minds Shine Bright international creative writing competition is run annually. The competition categories include short stories, poetry, scripts and flash fiction (also known as micro fiction). Minds Shine bright holds events to bring together communities of readers and writers to share and connect. The judge of the competition is Amanda Scotney, the founder of Minds Shine Bright. Amanda is a writer, poet, short film maker and supporter of the arts. Amanda works with other judges and moderators to ensure the quality of the process. All entries are blind judges and assessed against ten criteria.
