Mindshop - Knowledge Society

Mindshop began with a quote from David Hume. “The mere repetition of any past experiences, even to infinity, never will arise any new original idea. To arise new ideas, we must create new experiences, we must weave our thoughts together.” It was in a state of quiet reflection that the idea of a new kind of place emerged in my mind. This was back in 2014, and philosophy was nothing but something I did on my own, without academic rigour and purely for personal curiosity. The place I imagined was called Mindshop Cafe. “A place of multidisciplinary social learning” would describe the essence of what I had in mind. It was born out of the human vacuum created by the proliferation of exponential worldwide competition, universal personal distractors and the loss of humanity felt across the globe. Become a member!
