Ministry Development Council

The Ministry Development Council is a Network of Accredited Centers in the U.S. and Canada providing resources for ministers and other religious workers, denominational leadership and local congregation since 1969. MDC Centers provide: For Individuals Who Are. • deciding about a ministry vocation • seeking centeredness and community in vocation • evaluating options for staying in or moving from a current ministry • wrestling with family connections and vocational challenges • tackling mid-life challenges of productivity, rootedness, and rediscovery • exploring the unique possibilities for retirement planning For Denominational Leaders Who Are. • evaluating candidates for ordained and lay ministry • encouraging ministry leaders and families to strengthen their sense of vocation in personal centeredness, family connections, and community through individual counseling and workshops • designing specialized resources to meet challenges related to multiple staff ministries, dual-career couples, misconduct prevention, retirement, and other issues • securing objective evaluations of ministry workers in crisis • offering outplacement counseling for ministry professionals
