MINOM assembles in a vast platform of trends and organisms, individuals dedicated to an active, interactive museology, concerned with social and cultural change. It favors cooperation between museum users and professionals. It defends a museology open to all perspectives that can contribute to making the museum and the exhibition an instrument for developing the personality of communities and a laboratory for building their future. Therefore, MINOM advocates intercultural approximation and the creation of solidarity at local, national and international level. His path is linked to concepts such as Social Museology and more recently Sociomuseology. MINOM is open to all approaches that make the museum an instrument for building and developing the community's identity. MINOM favors cooperative relationships between users and professionals, as well as intercultural collaboration. MINOM is an international organization affiliated with ICOM (International Council of Museums).
