Mirabel Pictures

We create projects that open minds, catalyze action and impact the world we live in. Founded in 2010, Mirabel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating positive social and economic change with artistically bold films and community engagement. The team is led by multi-disciplinary artist and filmmaker Banker White and Emmy Award-winning Director Anna Fitch. Our award-winning films have been shown at festivals around the world; exhibited at the National Gallery, Intersection for the Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the National Portrait Gallery. They have also been broadcast on PBS, HBO, Netflix, and the New York Times Op Docs among others. Work includes Survivors, The Genius of Marian, The Genius of Caring, A Marriage to Remember, Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars and Scraphouse. In 2010, we launched the WeOwnTV initiative, a collaborative media project that promotes self-expression and supports other filmmakers and artists through media education, mentorship, and direct grants to West African Filmmakers.
