Miraca Project
MIRACA (Multi-Hazard Infrastructure Resilience Assessment and Climate Adaptation) is a pioneering project aimed at empowering public authorities and critical infrastructure (CI) managers to tackle climate change-induced risks effectively. Traditional methods of climate risk analysis often fall short in addressing the complexities of CI, leading to gaps in data and understanding. MIRACA fills these gaps by developing an evidence-based decision-support toolkit, including technical and economic appraisal guidance, a decision-support workbench, and an online interactive viewer. Led by a consortium of European partners spanning research institutions, universities, and private companies, MIRACA integrates expertise in climate science, engineering, economics, and risk analysis. Work packages within the project focus on developing a comprehensive multi-hazard climate risk assessment framework, a decision-support toolkit, case studies, and an online interactive viewer. Through its holistic approach, MIRACA aims to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure to climate change impacts.
