The choice of location is based on expert market, economic and geological studies; which is easily accessible from all the major cities of Upp Misr Cement Qena was established in 1997 as a joint-stock company that acquired 60% of capital shares in Misr Cement Minya (previously Minya Portland Cement), and 100% of capital shares in Misr Cement Beton (previously ASECO Ready-Mix), in 2015.
