Our Purpose: All life on earth is dependent on the ocean. Mission: Ocean Reef’s focus is building awareness, creating urgency, and inspiring creative minds to heal our ocean. We aim to bring together, educate, and inspire a collaboration for ocean revitalization. Almost everyone has a flawed view of the ocean. We look at it from a terrestrial perspective, which means we’re missing opportunities to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges. The slow deterioration of coral reefs worldwide has finally made it’s way to major national news. Why? The reef situation in the world is dire. Coral reefs are vital. The abundance of reef-building corals in the Caribbean has decreased by more than 80%. This silent killer affects all of us. Few people understand this.
