Mission combines user-focused, design thinking approaches with deep technical and manufacturing expertise to assure that products work well for users, are technically excellent, and can be produced at a low cost. Our experience ranges from medical consumables produced in the millions to complex diagnostic and surgical equipment with very limited production volumes. Mission also understands what is required to bring a product to market beyond design and engineering making us a particularly valuable partner to start ups and companies newly entering medical markets. In addition to Mission's internal expertise, we also draw upon a wide range of talent within our broad network of collaborators to be able to produce products from an initial user need through high volume production. Projects include complex opto-mechanical systems, drug delivery devices, surgical equipment, microfluidic diagnostic cartridges, and in vitro diagnostic products. Mission also has deep experience in developing medical devices for the needs of low resource settings such as Sub-Saharan Africa. Products need to address the unique needs of these countries such as poor power quality, variable training, high temperatures and humidities, limited service availability, poor in-country infrastructure, dust and extreme shelf life requirements.
