The Earth Resources Laboratory is an interdisciplinary lab located within the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at MIT that includes researches from several science and engineering departments. For over 40 years, it has been MIT's home for research relevant to the energy industry. Our current work focuses on solid earth science problems relevant to the energy transition, including geologic hydrogen, geothermal energy, carbon sequestration, and new mining tech.
