We are a group of alumni, faculty, students and friends of MIT who have come together to advocate for MIT’s support for free speech, open inquiry, and viewpoint diversity. While having faculty members and students as supporters, MFSA is an alumni-led organization which is wholly independent from MIT. MFSA is a member of the Alumni Free Speech Alliance (AFSA) whose goal is to advance Free Expression, Viewpoint Diversity, and Academic Freedom at universities and colleges across America. We are a Massachusetts nonprofit corporation with official 501(c)(3) status.
