The world’s largest metrology company was founded in 1934 by Yehan Numata with one product – the micrometer. Mitutoyo’s philosophy at that time was to make the best mechanical micrometer in the world. But also to produce them in quantities that made them affordable and available to all of manufacturing so they could improve the quality of the products they manufactured. This philosophy was expanded in the next several decades to include a wider product offering focused on mechanical, dimensional gaging products. Mitutoyo focused its R&D and production efforts on creating the most advanced micrometers, calipers, indicators and other measurement tools in the world. Mitutoyo Canada Inc. is a sales, and service organization that was established in Canada by Mitutoyo Corporation in 1973. Since day one of operations, supporting customers has been the first priority. Initially we provided replacement parts, sales and repair services. As our customer base grew, so did customer service demands. In response we built one of the highest performance ISO 17025 Calibration Laboratory’s in the country. Now we offer turnkey metrology solutions and even integrate measuring directly into manufacturing processes via inline automation. Mitutoyo Canada is also the first service organization to have ISO 17025 Accredited Field Service Technicians. State-of-the-art M3 Solution Centers are located in Mississauga, ON and Montreal, QC.
