Our Mission is to engage neighbors to practice radical love and build Dr. King's vision of the Beloved Community Our Values are rooted in Dr. King's principles of nonviolence: • Leadership and Impact - Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people. It is aggressive spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. • Relationships and Belonging - Nonviolence seeks friendship and understanding with the end goal of redemption and reconciliation to build the Beloved Community in this place. • Equality and Equity - Nonviolence seeks to defeat injustice and not people by considering the perspectives of all people and seeking to right wrongs. • Resilience and Innovation - Nonviolence believes that unearned, voluntary suffering for a just cause is redemptive. From our hardships we can engage and educate everyone without retaliating. • Integrity and Community - Nonviolence chooses love instead of hate and resists internal violence of the spirit as well as physical violence of the body.
