Mobile Psychotherapy Services, Inc. is the nation's first organization of independent, licensed psychotherapists - all Medicare providers - to offer seniors and caregivers mental health services in the comfort and privacy of their residences. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, we comprise a growing national network of private practitioners who are committed to helping seniors and caregivers maintain or improve their mental and emotional health. Because we travel and bring psychotherapy services directly to those who need it, our home visits offer clients the convenience and comfort of familiar surroundings along with a special kind of attention and privacy that many older people prefer and appreciate. Our founder, Jo Frederic, has been a clinical social worker since 1978 and has managed her own successful mobile practice since 1997. Over the past several years as her practice continued to overflow with requests for service, Jo recognized that she alone could not meet the mental health needs of an ever-increasing, woefully underserved senior population. This, combined with the projected skyrocketing numbers of aging Baby Boomers, inspired Jo to want to share her experience and teach other psychotherapists how to better serve seniors and caregivers, while establishing a successful and rewarding mobile practice of their own.
