Mobysafe Technology has recently developed a low-cost, high-specification GSM enabled telecare system specifically to enable dementia sufferers live safely within their own home and community, providing peace of mind for their loved ones 24/7/365. Our completely modular system allows up to 30 wireless sensors to be ‘paired’ to the main console and will instantly alert (call/text or both) up to 5 friends, family members or carers of many potential dangers in and around the home. The system will send out alerts if a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm sounds, a bath or sink overflows, a drop in room temperature or even someone leaving the house in the middle of the night. This is just a small example of what the system can achieve, with many more sensors in the development pipeline. With our business partners 10 years experience in the modern day domiciliary care industry and our 25 years electronics expertise, we see GSM based technology as the only way forward with telecare. With no contract or quarterly land line rental charges required or the worry of the phone line being taken up by a call or the cable accidently pulled out of the socket when cleaning, our tiny (120 * 80mm) unobtrusive console will silently and diligently watch over them for you. Other benefits include a highly sensitive microphone, which when configured gives the friend, family member or carer the opportunity to dial in and listen to any potentially worrying situation (security code required). A speaker can also be attached for two-way communication or used as an audible reminder to take medication. The system also has a battery back up and will send out an alert should the power level drop.
