MODA Vi is an applied research think tank dedicated to revitalizing the world’s great cities. Our work draws from Nobel Prize-winning research. The 2019 Prize in Economics recognized the power of localized, iterative fieldwork in improving lives. The 2017 Prize in behavioral economics showed how environments can be shaped to align everyday decisions with long-term well-being. We build on this foundation to design elegant civic systems that elevate trust, beauty, and belonging in urban life. Civic Partners A network of local leaders educators, artists, organizers, business owners who help shape MODA Vi’s presence in their city. Civic Partners steward community life, advise our strategy, and guide investment toward businesses and cultural institutions that enrich the social fabric. MODA Vi Talks A live event series and video archive of city-shaping thinkers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Each talk elevates local wisdom, surfaces new ideas, and builds cultural momentum around city life. The Global Performance Project Live public art and performance activations hosted in plazas, parks, storefronts, and gathering spaces. These events create shared moments of civic wonder and deepen the emotional memory of place. The Chronicle A photographic record of institutions, neighborhoods, and cultural landmarks captured on analog film. The Chronicle safeguards the visual identity of cities and creates an enduring archive of what we choose to preserve. MODA Vi Film Festival A platform for cinematic storytelling rooted in civic life, community beauty, and the human texture of urban spaces. Civic Infrastructure Projects Design and funding of local initiatives that beautify and strengthen the city’s physical and emotional core benches, signage, murals, lighting, and shared spaces that support everyday dignity and delight.
