Moldovan Arbitration Association

Moldovan Arbitration Association (MAA) is a non-profit association dedicated to promoting domestic and international arbitration. It brings together lawyers who are professionally engaged or interested in international arbitration. MAA was founded in February 2021 by arbitration practitioners Serghei Covali and Sorin Dolea, and has its headquarters in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The membership in MAA is open to all individuals interested in the international arbitration practice, as well as those sharing the goal and objectives of the association. The main purpose of MAA is promotion of Moldova as a venue for international arbitration, providing assistance and support interest in the practice of international arbitration in cross-border disputes, promotion of local and foreign arbitrators involved in arbitrations within Moldovan context, promotion of the knowledge and experience in resolving disputes through international arbitration, as well as strengthening the cooperation between arbitration practitioners around the world. Although MAA is not an arbitration institution, it aims to closely cooperate with national and international arbitration institutions, law firms, organizations as well as individual arbitration practitioners and arbitrators.
