Monokel Studio

Monokel is an independent development studio. Based in Cologne and with friends in lots of places, we produce games that use their mechanics to tell stories – stories worth telling in a world that grows in polarization, marginalization, and injustice. Our shared goal is to inspire each other and our players through our work. Monokel is a band highly likable weirdos from all kinds of different backgrounds. We try to emphasize and amplify the voices of every person who works with us. We put self-organization over classical hierarchies and talent over resumes. Our team includes an emotional support dog, Dragon, and a big rubber chicken, Mono. Dragon likes it when you hug him. Mono screams.
