Moogoo Creative Africa

Moogoo (Mòogó) in the language of the Mossi, the largest ethnic group in Burkina Faso, means "land of the mosses","country" and "universe". No distinction is made in the use of words whether one is talking about one's own country, the world or the universe. We liked this idea and since we also want to connect worlds, we gave our company this name. Moogoo - country of all people. Moogoo's philosophy is built on 3 pillars- the fair, sustainable trade of locally made furniture & decoration object- the modern, aesthetic design of these artworks- the intercultural exchange between Africa and Europe. INTERMEDIA BETWEEN DESIGN AND ETHICS We see Moogoo as a platform for exchange between modern artists from Africa and interested people in Europe. The aim is the valorisation and marketing of Burkinabe art and design and the associated know-how. In addition to the trade in Burkinabe furniture and home accessories, Moogoo is also intended to serve as an intermediary between Africa and Europe and to provide local artists with access to the European art and design market. At the heart of Moogoo are African designer furniture and home accessories, created and developed by designers and craftsmen in Africa. The products - which are made entirely in Burkina Faso - are creations made of wood, iron, bronze and recycled materials that combine the old and the new and create entirely new forms and purposes through the fusion of different materials. Today we supply numerous small shops and concept shops throughout Europe. Moogoo has been a recognised supplier and member of the German Weltladen-Association (Weltladen-Dachverband). Moogoo wants to take responsibility and act not only for commercial but also for ideological reasons. Our aim is to create a sustainable partnership between African artists and European art lovers based on the principle of mutual respect and appreciation. For us, Moogoo is entrepreneurial activity, social commitment and passion all rolled into one.
