Moon Guitars LLC was founded by Kyle Wolfe in 2017 as a repair shop that offered unique custom build options. Kyle has been active in the guitar industry since starting out in a repair shop in 2007. There he learned the basics of guitar making, which would later develop into a full blown passion for the craft. Starting out making custom replicas of other manufacturers’ shapes for himself, he shifted to occasional customer orders alongside repair work, eventually developing his own unique models. Moon stopped offering repair services as of early 2020 to focus solely on building instruments. Kyle has made a top priority of investing in the quality of his instruments as he continues to grow the company (although it still remains a one-man operation). In addition to providing an array of custom order options, Moon Guitars now also offers production style models made in the US. These budget models are still handmade in the same shop, just without all the custom options and fancier specs available through a custom order.
